Our Expertise
Anita Macartney
Director / Principal Consultant
Anita Macartney is a highly experienced safety and risk professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. As Director and Principal Consultant at Mactown, she is known for her exceptional leadership skills and her ability to establish strong personal relationships with stakeholders.
Anita’s career began in safety regulation, where she gained valuable experience in investigations and then as a mining inspector. She later transitioned to the aviation industry, where she worked in risk management before moving into consulting. In her consulting role, she developed safety management systems, implemented risk software, facilitated bowtie and risk assessments, reviewed management systems, and led projects.
Anita is passionate about safety management and believes that every worker has the right to return home safely. She brings this commitment to every project she works on, leveraging her extensive expertise to develop practical, effective, and sustainable solutions for her clients.
Anita holds a Master’s in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Management and a Bachelor of Criminology. She is also a Chartered Occupational Health and Safety Professional and a Certified Risk Manager. She is committed to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with the latest trends and best practices in the industry.
